The market, also known as Talat Rot Fai, Srinakarin, or Srinagarindra Train Night Market, is Nestled in the bustling heart of Bangkok, Thailand.

This market isn’t just any night market; it’s a triple-threat extravaganza. Initially camped near the Chatuchak Weekend Market, it decided to play a game of musical chairs and relocate to Srinagarindra Road.

But wait, there’s more! You’ll find not one, not two, but three branches of this treasure trove, with a second one popping up on Ratchadaphisek Road and a third showing off its wares on Prasoet Manu Kit Road.

Now, mark your calendars because these markets have a strict four-day-a-week policy, making Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays the hottest nights in town. 

And what’s on offer, you ask? It’s a compelling blend of antiques, vintage-style goodies, flashy clothing, home accessories, and delicious eats and drinks that could turn even the most disciplined shopper into a culinary explorer.

As if that weren’t enough, the Srinagarindra Road location has clinched the title of Bangkok’s most popular night market. 

But here’s the juicy backstory – it all started in 2010 when Pairod Roikaew, an ex-antiques dealer, decided to shake things up. 

He set up shop on a railway yard on Kamphaeng Phet Road, surrounded by abandoned warehouses, tracks, and train cars (hence the quirky name). 

This vintage haven became an instant hit among Bangkok’s hippest crowd.

However, life threw Pairod a curveball in 2013 when the powers that be marked his stomping grounds for constructing the Bang Sue Central Station. 

But this entrepreneur wouldn’t let a few bulldozers rain on his parade. Pairod packed up his vintage charm and reopened shop on Srinagarindra Road, tucked away behind the Seacon Square shopping center. 

Despite its distant outpost and lack of rapid transit, this new location kept the fans coming. It was so successful that 201, a second branch, emerged next to The Esplanade shopping center on Ratchadaphisek Road.

To reach the marvelous Train Night Market, hop on one of Bangkok’s trusty buses – options include No. 133, 145, 206, or 207.

If you’re in the mood for some air-con comfort, look out for Air-con bus No. 11. Once you’ve taken your chosen bus, make your grand exit at the “Seacon Square” stop.

Here comes the fun part, just a short stroll from there. Lace up your walking shoes and follow the road along Soi Srinakarin 51 for approximately 200 meters.
